Show #129 “Anchorage Hotspot”

December 19th, 2006 by Scott

Today’s show Mayor Mark Begich plans for Anchorage to become wireless, other local news, events, activities, weather and more going on around this great state of Alaska.

Today’s hot topic:
Alaska News Stations Lack of holiday cheer brings everyone down

Holiday Depression, Murders, Suicides, and Robberies have been the theme of local Alaska news during the holiday season. Short of creative holiday content, could Anchorage news stations be responsible for enhancing holiday depression and winter seasonal effect disorder? Local stations also pass on the opportunity to beat winter blues.

Show #128 “Alaska Solstice Fun”

December 15th, 2006 by Scott

Welcome to Alaska Podshow #128!

>>Direct Show Link< <

It's great to be back behind the mic and as it goes, I've been pulled away from the things I love. A great show today - News, Local Events, Activities, Hot topics like Winter Solstice, Alaska's Arctic Polar Ice Cap, A Jet for Sale!

Let's Celebrate!

Alaska's shortest day in December totals at 5 hours and 28 minutes. Cold weather is not going to hold local Alaskans back from celebrating Winter Solstice. Anchorage back country enthusiast traditionally gather for both Winter and Summer Solstice to celebrate the changing of daylight hours in Alaska.

It's going to be a great time once again! If you're here in Anchorage, drop me a line and we'll go up Flattop together - Should be fun!
